TRABZON’DA SON YAZMACI AİLELER VE YAZMACILIĞIN YAŞATILMASINDA ÖRNEK BİR MODEL: KARADENİZ TEKNİK ÜNİVERSİTESİ YAZMA BASKI ATÖLYESİ – THE LAST BLOCK PRINTER FAMILIES IN TRABZON AND A SAMPLE MODEL FOR ITS SURVIVAL; KARADENIZ TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY BLOCK PRINTING WORKSHOP

ÖZ

Ülkemizde bir halk sanatı olarak doğup gelişen yazmacılık, birçok meslek dalını beslemiş ve bir ticaret alanı oluşturmuştur. Osmanlı İmparatorluğu, Anadolu’da bazı mesleklerin belli bölgelerde yaptırılmasını zorunlu hale getirmiş ve yazmacılığın bir meslek haline geldiği bazı şehir ve semtler ortaya çıkmıştır. Zamanla, gelişen ve kullanımı yaygınlaşan bir halk sanatı olan yazmacılık, farklı bölgelerde de üretilmeye başlanmıştır.

Bu çalışmada, geçmişte Trabzon ve ilçelerinde yapılan, ancak bugün unutulmuş olan yazmacılık mesleği ile uğraşan aileler araştırılarak, Trabzon’da yazmacılığın tarihsel süreci hakkında bilgi edinilmiştir. Türk Yazmacılık Sanatı açısından malzeme, teknik, boya, kalıp, motif ve kompozisyon ayrıntılarına inilerek, yerel ve kültürel değerler açısından önemi vurgulanmıştır. Ayrıca unutulmaya yüz tutmuş bu geleneksel halk sanatının yaşatılıp gelecek kuşaklara aktarılması amacıyla kurulan örnek bir yazma baskı atölyesinin tanıtımı yapılmıştır.

ABSTRACT

Block printing that emerged and developed as a type of folk art in Anatolia was not only a special cultural activity; various professions were nourished around block printing and a trade sector flourished in time. It was obliged by the Ottoman Empire that certain regions be engaged in certain fields of occupation, as a result of which some cities and districts in the country turned to the sites of block printing. Over time, block printing, developing as a sort of folk art, gained popularity in different regions as well. This study, investigating the families dealing with the profession of  block printing in Trabzon and its districts, aims to explore the history of block printing, which looks moribund nowadays. The study sheds light on the essential elements of the profession such as material, technique, composition, painting, patterns and motifs employed in the Art of Turkish Block Printing. The study highlights the significance of the profession as a cultural and local heritage. Lastly, the study reviews a sample of block printing workshop having been intended to introduce this traditional folk art to the younger generations.
